30 years on-going service as a Seaman Officer (Diving Specialist) in the Royal Navy which included Navigating Officer, Operations Officer and Second in Command of a frigate and 2 years as Captain of a 400 tonne minesweeper. Gained 10 years experience as a trainer.

Manager/trainer with the RNLI training Coxswains and volunteer crew members to navigate state-of-the-art 25 knot all-weather lifeboats for Search and Rescue.

Self-employed consultant to Ocean Training primarily marketing and management of RNLI student tutor functions for all OT Students.

Married with 2 children (son is a Lieutenant with the Royal Navy) and 2 grandchildren.

RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Instructor and Examiner (motor cruising) and keen yachtsman.
