The worlds first complete home study course

This course is a requirement if you are to use any form of VHF radio, hand held or installed on your boat. The course covers all aspects of the RYA/MCA syllabus. Anyone operating a marine VHF/DSC Radio who is caught operating the set without the Short Range Certificate is liable to a £5000 fine plus confiscation of the equipment within the UK. Other countries are similar or worse!

The course consists of:-

Ocean Training Course CD and Complete Digital Selective Calling Radio Simulator on CD. The Comprehensive course on CD covers all aspects of the syllabus. Also included is a superb DSC simulator on CD. The operation of the simulator is integrated with your learning CD to make understanding of the system so much easier to learn. You can make mistakes on your simulator without disturbing the tranquility of the emergency services.

Examination

On completion of the course contact Ocean Training to arrange your exam.

Time to Complete

Approximately 10 hours in your own time and pace, at home or anywhere in the world.
