DISTANCE LEARNING
Learn the Theory at Home or at Sea - the most economical way to train
This is the 21st Century way of gaining the MCA Officer of the Watch certificate and passing your MCA Oral examination
Learn wherever you are in the world - at home or at sea - in your own time and pace
Thus great savings are to be had as you do not have the expense of living away to prepare for your Oral exam - Learn your theory and save on travel and accommodation costs.
Also you may do the theory on a vessel at sea, in your spare time and therefore can "Earn while you Learn"
You can complete the course in your own time and pace
You will be allocated your own personal tutor who will guide you through the course and mark your assignments
We give you up to 12 months to learn the material and to fit it into your lifestyle - that said the actual learning will take about 40 hours of your time
PREREQUISITES
You should have completed the Officer of the Watch (Yachts less than 3000gt) Modules
MATERIALS SUPPLIED
Ocean Training Software (Windows or MAC) Supplied on a USB Stick - this means that you have everything up front - ready to go

5 Admiralty Paper Charts
Admiralty Tidal Stream Atlas
Chart Symbols (5011)
375 + Ocean Training Animations which enhance the learning - So good that even the MCA use them for staff training and Coastguard Training
MOCK ORALS EXAMINATION
Once the theory element is complete we give you a Mock Exam - by Zoom or Skype.
This will prepare you for the real MCA exam
MCA ORAL EXAM
When you are ready to take the MCA exam you fill in a Notice of Eligibility (NOE)
You do the Oral exam at one of the MCA's Exam Centres once your NOE is approved
There is a separate fee for this and applying fot the exam is the student's responsibility

All courses within the UK are sent by first class post - Courses going abroad go via Fedex speedy delivery
